Without a shadow of a doubt, Dublin’s Bonzai is one of the most exciting young artists around right now. Sounding like little else at the moment, her wild new single ‘I Did’ premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record earlier this week - and it’s a vibrant, schizophrenic 3 minutes of solid gold - expertly blurring the lines between pop, hip-hop, and electronica. Currently out on tour with friend/collaborator/former label boss Mura Masa - this new single is the first from Bonzai on her new label Columbia. If she wasn’t a shoe in for those coveted end of year lists already, then by the time new EP Lunacy drops on 28th October, we’d imagine she’ll be a dead-cert. -JC
